Round 18 of the 2020/21 La Liga season is part of the past now, leaving us some surprising results that made a big impact on the general standings. This campaign has been full of emotions and every weekend we realize this is going to be a really close tournament.

Real Madrid couldn’t get the job done against Osasuna, tying a goalless game that was really hard for them. Barcelona didn’t miss their chance and won an easy game against Granada, who didn’t have an answer for Lionel Messi and co.

Sevilla beat Real Sociedad, 3-2, at home, preventing the Basque side to keep up with the leaders of the league and now are out of the Champions League zone. Villarreal keep showing a great game and they’re now ready to compete with the heavyweights after demolishing Celta Vigo 0-4 as visitors.

Real Betis closed the matchday with an away win over Huesca to stay at a comfortable position on the standings. It’s time now to see how the league looks like after Round 18. The next round will mean half of the season is gone, which can predict how things will end for all these teams.
