Real Madrid unnecessary man Gareth Bale has set his heart on a Premier League return to Tottenham. Reports from England say that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is trying to bring the winger back to the club and that they are in advanced talks.
There were even rumors that Madrid would even agree to pay half of his wages if he leaves on loan. Thus, the Spurs will try to bring Bale on a two-year loan, i.e. until the expiration of his contract with Real Madrid, and it was confirmed by his agent Jonathan Barnett.
"Garrett loves Tottenham, negotiations are ongoing. This is where he wants to be," he told BBC Sport Wales. "It's close but not done. It's a complicated deal."
Mourinho on Bale's possible arrival at Tottenham
Meanwhile, Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho has kept his mouth shut on the links to Bale: "I don’t comment on hypothetical stuff. Gareth Bale is a Real Madrid player."
The La Liga champions are willing to get Dele Alli and could use Bale as a bait. The Welsh international has been frozen by the Whites coach Zinedine Zidane. According to the English media, Manchester United are also interested in luring the 31-year-old.
